Cupcake Mafia Grand Opening

ccm1image (9)I remember the first time I met Mz. Skittlez. We attended the fashion stylist workshop taught by celebrity fashion stylist Olori Swank in Atlanta. I can also remember listening to her (Mz. Skittlez) talk about some of the celebrities she worked with and thinking, why is she in this workshop and she is already working on a level that I’m aspiring to get to?

That was just 3 years ago. This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to support someone I consider a mentor, by attending the Grand Opening of Cupcake Mafia’s flagship store in Atlanta. I’ve been following her on social media since I’ve met her. We’ve attended several of the same events, she has an awesome clothing line, and I recently began reading her book, “The Icing on Top Ain’t Always Sweet”. It’s a tale based on the life of Mz. Skittlez.

ccm2This was my daughter’s first boutique opening and pink carpet event. She couldn’t stop talking about it and how humble Mz. Skittlez is and easy to talk to.

As always, it was a pleasure to be around like-minded women, and to attend yet another inspiring event in Atlanta.
